New issue of NextSpace: Helping library patrons get their feet wet.

OCLC Issue 13

Origo Branding Company just published the latest issue of NextSpace magazine — an OCLC publication sent to libraries worldwide. OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world’s information. More than 57,000 libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials. This tri-annual publication introduces new technology and keeps librarians, and library patrons, in the loop of constantly emerging information resources.

The Ripple Effect, cover story of this latest issue, highlights how libraries are extending their reach to increase traffic to their resources. And, in fact, this fascinating feature article showcases specific libraries around the world that have brought the library to the people, emphasizing the overall mission of OCLC.

It was interesting, on our part, to create the illustrations for The Ripple Effect, where we meshed water and communication to cover the subject matter.

We start on Issue 14 soon, continuing with the theme of new ways to reach out to library goers. Check out previous publication designs Origo has provided for NextSpace starting with Issue 6 at http://www.oclc.org/nextspace/default.htm.
