Ohio for Responsible Gambling partnered with Origo Branding to help create a public health campaign to spread the message about the importance of learning responsible behaviors when choosing to gamble.
- To address the issue of problem gambling, Origo created the integrated marketing campaign Get Set Before You Bet to build awareness around tips for responsible gaming practices.
- Origo created a campaign microsite to engage the community in an online assessment, gauging their risk of problem gambling and connecting them with free resources to get help.
- Origo developed motion graphics videos and other digital assets, implemented on social media and other ad placements, that demonstrated the dangers of problem gambling, as well as how someone can prevent these risks.
- Origo crafted and executed a successful $1 million media plan for each of the five years of the campaign, driving traffic to the microsite through digital and traditional advertising.
Through our research-driven tactics, this campaign reached groundbreaking results, creating the following metrics from October of 2015 through December of 2019:
- 184,158,809 estimated impressions (for digital and environmental)
- 248,551 site visits
- 643,783 page views
- 44,306 sessions for the online gambling assessment (1,136 /month)
Lastly, as a major achievement of the campaign, Origo developed an online community toolkit with campaign assets for organizations around the state to leverage through their localized media budgets. Since its launch, we have engaged more than 50 prevention organizations, public health agencies, nonprofits, and community coalitions in our campaign efforts.
