Origo developed a new brand and website strategy that helped Lutheran Social Services grow its presence in the community by consolidating its 17 different programs into one brand architecture and online experience.

Objectives

  • Origo conducted research exercises, such as focus groups, surveys, and audits of current materials, to gather important insights surrounding the brand and its programs.
  • Using the research from the brand analysis phase, Origo developed a new brand strategy, including a new logo design, brand architecture, messaging system, and outreach strategies, helping to establish Lutheran Social Services as a leading provider of food, shelter, healing, and safety for individuals in need within our region.
  • To generate a greater presence for the organization, Origo consolidated over 15 program websites into one cohesive web experience to drive engagement and awareness to the different offerings of the organization.
  • The new site offered a responsive design, generating a new mobile and SEO-optimized online experience for clients, donors, and other stakeholders in the community, allowing Lutheran Social Services to cross-promote the different programs of its organization across all devices.

Results

  • The new Lutheran Social Services brand strategy was a great success, as the 42 locations embraced the new brand architecture and immediately began advocating the new message to the community, allowing the organization to build new partners and donors.
  • After developing a new visual brand identity and website for Lutheran Social Services, we successfully applied the new strategy to a collateral system, including brochures, inserts, a case for support, corporate folder, business cards, and envelopes.
  • Origo also created a marketing toolkit to help launch the brand through a variety of tactics, such as an e-blast/newsletter template, social media templates, pre-generated social media posts, digital advertising templates, and a PowerPoint template to educate the internal organization on the new brand strategy, as well as advance the mission of Lutheran Social Services across communities throughout Central Ohio.
