SWACO Community Impact Report - Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio
The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) serves Franklin County and neighboring areas with solutions for solid waste and recycling. SWACO partnered with Origo to develop their online (or “interactive”) Annual Community Impact Report, highlighting the different ways the organization made a difference in the community, including their efforts to positively influence the behaviors of Central Ohioans around food waste reduction and recycling.

Origo developed the Community Impact Report as an interactive microsite during the organization’s Earth Month activities in April. The report will highlight SWACO’s activities and accomplishments in the previous year and promoted some of the planned activities for the future.
The report covered topics ranging from waste reduction, recycling, organics management, and the safe disposal programs and services at the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill. Feature points about the organization’s budget, operations, and leadership team. We also created an abbreviated PDF version of the report to make it available for download and printing.
Upon launch of the online Community Toolkit, the new format successfully met the client goals of providing an engaging synopsis of SWACO’s successes in the previous year, allowing them to generate greater support and partnerships for their community efforts in the future.
