Ohio Life Sciences Is Building The Future Of Ohio’s Workforce
June 30, 2026
As the industry association representing the interests of nearly 5,000 life sciences establishments, Ohio Life Sciences (OLS) works to grow the Life Sciences sector in Ohio. To further their mission, OLS is partnering with JobsOhio, the state’s business development engine, to establish a new training center that will prepare Ohioans for in-demand biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing roles. But with a cost of over $30 million, OLS partnered with Origo Branding to develop a capital campaign and educational assets to help make this initiative a reality.
Creating a Capital Campaign
After meeting with the OLS and JobsOhio teams to learn more about the Ohio Life Science Training Center, our team developed various concepts, resulting in the campaign Build the Future of Ohio’s Workforce. We then applied the creative strategy to a customizable fundraising pitch deck that spoke to the need for a facility like this to enhance Ohio’s workforce and Life Sciences industry. The flexibility of this asset allows any presenter to easily craft the most compelling story for their audience, whether it be a life science manufacturer looking to move their operations into our state or a local university seeking to establish a pathway for graduates to “upskill” their expertise for in-demand, high-paying careers.
Furthering the Mission
As an enhancement to the pitch deck, as well as to serve as a tangible leave-behind, our team developed a 4-page brochure that addresses the mission and goals of the Ohio Life Science Training Center, which will allow it to be used for other outreach purposes. The brochure helps tell the story of the facility, conveys its potential impact on our citizens, and generates excitement about what this will mean for Ohio’s future.
A Tailored Educational Experience
To further enhance the donor pitch experience, we developed two inserts for the brochure that can be easily updated based on the audience or to reflect the latest information about the training center. One insert gives a more detailed definition about the field of Life Sciences and the benefits it provides the region today, as well as in the future. The other flier outlines the amenities, programs, and offerings that will be available to students in the new Ohio Life Science Training Center.
With these assets in hand, scaffolded by Origo’s campaign strategy, OLS and JobsOhio are primed to engage potential donors of all fields and sizes to generate the funds needed for this initiative that will create life-changing advancements for the citizens and companies of our state.
