GCAC Fundraising Strategy & Campaign - Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC)
Origo helped create a new development strategy to advance the fundraising efforts of the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), helping advance their mission of supporting the arts and advancing the culture of the Central Ohio region. Through these efforts, Origo’s goal was to help tell their story in a way that would generate new forms of revenue and fundraising, allowing them to further their support of exemplary artists and arts organizations, as well as provide programs, events, and services to the public.

To launch this process, Origo reviewed previously branded materials of the organization, as well as conducted surveys amongst donors, grantees, and internal staff, helping to learn insights around the perceptions and awareness of the organization and its different levels of impact. From these findings we developed creative concepts to be applied to a new donor strategy, which were tested to help assess how we could best build awareness of the philanthropic needs of GCAC, as well as engage Central Ohio’s leading donors to contribute major investments toward the pillars of giving.
Through our strategic efforts, Origo created a development strategy for GCAC titled Arts Elevate, which helped to build engagement for their different pillars of giving, including the Community Arts Partnership Awards, the Columbus Arts Festival, the Art Makes Columbus campaign, and the newly formed Columbus Arts Endowment fund. Origo then worked with GCAC to develop the messaging strategy and content for the main donor kit, helping their team deliver the story of the GCAC and how it has helped shape the landscape of our city.
The kit expressed the plans for the future of the organization, engaging new and existing partners around upcoming initiatives that will expand the offerings and programming that GCAC can provide to the Central Ohio community, all through the power of their new fundraising efforts.
