Everyday, Lutheran Social Services (LSS) helps thousands of people in need throughout 27 Ohio counties by addressing the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. To help share this impact with donors, volunteers, and populations in need throughout the region, Origo developed a new brand and website strategy that helped LSS grow its presence in the community by consolidating its 17 different programs into one brand architecture and online experience.

Origo conducted research exercises, such as focus groups, surveys, and audits of current materials, to gather important insights surrounding the brand and its programs. Using the research from the brand analysis phase, Origo developed conceptual directions for the new brand strategy, including a new logo design, brand architecture, messaging system, and outreach strategies, helping to establish Lutheran Social Services as a leading provider of food, shelter, healing, and safety for individuals in need within our region.
To generate a greater presence for the organization, Origo consolidated over 15 program websites into one enterprise web experience to drive engagement and awareness to the different offerings of the organization.
The new site offered a responsive design, offering a new mobile and SEO-optimized experience for clients, donors, and other stakeholders in the community, allowing Lutheran Social Services to cross-promote the different programs of its organization across all devices.
After developing a new visual brand identity and website for Lutheran Social Services, we successfully applied the new strategy to a collateral system, including brochures, inserts, a case for support, corporate folder, business cards, and envelopes. Origo also created a marketing toolkit to help launch the brand through a variety of tactics, including templates for e-blasts, social media posts, digital ads, print ads, PowerPoints, and more.
The new Lutheran Social Services brand strategy was a great success, as the 40+ locations of the organization embraced the new brand story and brand architecture by immediately advocating the new messaging to the community, allowing the organization to build new partners and donors that will help to build more stability and .strength for the organization for years to come.
