As an ensemble known for delivering world-class classical music through innovative programming and artistic excellence, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra prides itself on honoring traditions while championing contemporary works and new commissions.

ProMusica engaged Origo Branding to develop a design approach for its 2025-2026 season brochure to serve as a promotional centerpiece for its world class performances, helping to engage loyal subscribers of the orchestra and communicate the energy and passion of their unique live performances to newer and younger audiences.

Origo engaged ProMusica leadership and stakeholders through a project team questionnaire to identify specific design and imagery details to prioritize (or avoid) to ensure the final direction resonated with the orchestra’s diverse audience.

Using these insights, Origo developed three unique conceptual directions that pushed the brand in increasingly dynamic ways. ProMusica ultimately selected a concept centered on the season theme and headline — Immerse yourself in the moment — a strategy that focused on the shared emotional experience between the musicians and the audience when attending their one-of-a-kind performances that only live music can create.

The design direction utilized vibrant, watercolor-style portraits of musicians to evoke a sense of movement, creativity, and the flow of music. The 16-page brochure was organized with a “Season at a Glance” section and detailed spreads for major performances, such as Béla Fleck’s Rhapsody in Blue and Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

To reinforce the theme of immersion, the design integrated large-scale photography of performers and the historic Southern Theatre, the orchestra’s primary venue. The collateral also featured user-centric layouts for ticket packages and “Coda” post-concert conversations, ensuring the brochure was both an artistic piece and a functional tool for patrons.

The season brochure successfully welcomed audiences to rediscover cherished favorites and discover new works in one of Central Ohio’s most unique settings. Beyond achieving our project goals, we were proud when the piece received significant industry recognition, winning an Award of Excellence in the Print Long-Form category at the 2025 CSCA Creative Best Awards.

By combining artistic excellence with strategic messaging, Origo provided ProMusica with a cohesive brand identity for the season that extended across digital assets and web strategies, further strengthening the orchestra’s connection with its community for seasons to come.
