Origo Helps OCUL Take Credit Unions to New Heights with Updated Website StrategyJuly 29, 2021
One of the most rewarding aspects of our work as a creative agency is when partners reach back out to work with us on their next project.
Recently, Origo helped Ohio Credit Union League (OCUL) revamp their marketing, branding, and design strategy and develop a new website for their Services Corporation division. Following the success of that project, OCUL asked us to help create a new website for the primary brand. The outcome was fantastic.
As the voice for credit unions across Ohio, OCUL plays a critical role in the industry. It advocates at the state and federal levels, provides compliance and informational services, offers education and professional development, and more. OCUL needed a website to reflect that clearly in an engaging way.
After working closely with the OCUL team, we determined that the website’s top priority was to provide an intuitive experience that deepened member loyalty and encouraged new membership for non-members.
How exactly did Origo execute on this? Through an integrated approach of strategic research, creative thinking, and intuitive web development.
Features that reach new heights
Our team developed three strong conceptual strategies and designs for the new website. Of those, OCUL chose the concept “Take Your Credit Union to New Heights.” The team felt that this concept best showcased how they help improve credit unions across Ohio. The concept also positioned OCUL as a partner invested in member success by strengthening members’ capabilities and enhancing their daily operations.
OCUL’s top priority was to make information more accessible and well-organized. During the design and development phases, we created clean and modern features to provide a better user experience. This included a ‘mega menu’ drop-down so website visitors could navigate anywhere on the site within a few clicks. The homepage utilized a news feed and events calendar, ensuring that site visitors could always stay up-to-date.
To encourage users to contact OCUL, “sticky” contacts that attach to the bottom of the browser window were featured on each sub-page. This created an opportunity for members to connect with an OCUL expert any time, anywhere.
A resource for credit union success
Now that OCUL’s main website is live, they are better positioned to fulfill their mission to grow Ohio credit unions. With OCUL’s services and solutions now more accessible and visible throughout the site and homepage, visitors can easily learn how OCUL makes a difference for credit unions across the state.
